I am the Ohio Air National Guard

The Ohio Air National Guard consists of four wings: the 121st Air Refueling Wing, 178th Wing, 179th Cyberspace Wing and 180th Fighter Wing, which deploy worldwide to support aerial refueling, air transport, communications, engineering and security missions. In addition, there are two subordinate geographically separated units in the state.

Any current or retired Ohio National Guard member or current state employee of the Ohio Adjutant General’s Department CAN receive $2,000 per enlistment for any lead AND/OR $1,000 for an innovative idea for recruiting new members.

The 2024 Ohio Air National Guard Outstanding Airmen of the Year winners were announced in January 2024. The selectees have gone above and beyond in the previous year, demonstrating superior leadership, job performance and personal achievement.

179th Airlift Wing officially redesignated 179th Cyberspace Wing

Col. Darren E. Hamilton, commander of the new 179th Cyberspace Wing, unfurls the wing’s organizational flag during a redesignation ceremony at Mansfield-Lahm Air National Guard Base in Mansfield, Ohio, Sept. 9, 2023. Formerly the 179th Airlift Wing and a unit with a previous 75-year flying history, the 179th is the first Air National Guard cyberspace wing in the nation, with a mission focused on cyber effects operations and intelligence.
